Hi Jo, Sorry sent you back your original posting which was very interesting, instead of this one. It seems we are related.I was born in Anabla, Kilcummin into a large family. It is also called Anablaha. The Anablagh you mention is the same place. It would echo its original gaelic name which means "Place of flowers". It is a townland in Kilcummin, Killarney, Co Kerry. Julia O'Connor was my great grandmother. I think she came from Inchigeela in Co Cork. My great grandfather was Denis McGillicuddy. Denis's father was Thade Corny Mcgillicuddy(Timothy Cornelius). John, Patrick, Joan(Hannah)& Margaret went to America. Their brother Con was my grandfather he married Maggie (Margaret) Lyne my grandmother. Thade (Timothy) married Mary Leary and also lived in Anabla.Ellen Married Denis O' Rourke and moved to Currans, Currow Co Kerry . We still have relatives there today. The Mcgillicuddy's are still living in Anabla to this day my brother's family and my first cousin and his family This is an old tradition where one of the children and their children's children live on the original land. This is of course happens only if they have not all emigrated.Their are also cousins and distant relatives living in many parts of Kilcummin. God bless, Mary Agnes
